Prime distribution is one of mathematics' oldest problems. In the almost prime approximation approach to the Goldbach and twin prime conjectures, Chen Jingrun achieved the landmark results "1+2" and "1−2." Over a decade ago, Bourgain, Gamburd, and Sarnak proposed a programmatic conjecture that reframes prime distribution in terms of group actions on orbits, offering a new perspective. In this talk, we explain how sieve methods yield high-dimensional, higher-degree prime distribution results, and how these ideas enrich classical problems like the Goldbach and twin prime conjectures—highlighting our recent breakthroughs "1+1.9" and "1−1.75".
