The laboratory of Prof. Yun Zhou in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral researchers to join the team. Our research focuses on uncovering the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying plant meristem development, stem cell specification, and tissue morphogenesis. We combine molecular genetics, live-cell imaging, quantitative image analysis, computational modeling, biochemistry, and functional genomics to investigate fundamental questions in plant development (Lai et al., PLOS Biology, 2026; Geng et al., Current Biology, 2024; Han et al., Nature Communications, 2020; Zhou et al., Science, 2018; Zhou et al., Nature, 2015).
The position is available immediately, with a flexible start date. Applicants with a PhD and strong background in plant molecular genetics, plant physiology, cell and developmental biology, genomics, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Experience in quantitative imaging, computational analysis, or bioinformatics is welcome but not required.
- A curriculum vitae (CV) including a list of publications
- A brief statement of research interests and career goals
- Contact information for two or three references
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
