Zetian Mireceived the B.Sc. in Physics from Beijing University (1997), the M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Iowa (2001), and the Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2006). He had been a research engineer in Picometrix Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI) from 2001 to 2003 and a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan from 2006 to 2007. In Sep. 2007, he joined McGill University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are in the areas of epitaxial growth of semiconductor nanostructures, nanophotonics, and nanoelectronics. He is the founder and director of the nitride epitaxial growth facility at McGill University. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed technical papers and book chapters related to his research and has contributed to a total of 17 invited talks including 3 plenary presentations at international conferences. In 2009, he has been awarded the position of Hydro-Quebec Nano-Engineering Scholar by McGill for his outstanding achievement in nanotechnology. |
